Doing Our Part

First and foremost, HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2008 bring you health, wealth, and proseprity. Thank you for your continued support, which made 2007 a great year for Moral Fabric! Without you, we wouldn't exist. We would like to share with you some of the changes that will take place in 2008. Please read below.

In staying true with our plans to use only organic cotton in 2008, we have also made quite a few adjustments in the way we run our daily business. In order to create less waste and to conserve energy, we have made HUGE changes in the administrative side of Moral Fabric. Here are some examples (the transformation will be complete mid January-early February):

-MoralFabric.com will be hosted on a sever run by 100% renewable energy. These energy sources include wind power and solar energy.

-All printed goods originating from the Moral Fabric headquarters will be printed on 100% recycled paper.

-80% of the shipping materials used will be recycled, recyclable, and/or bio-degradable.

-The production and disposal of junk mail consumes more energy than 3 million cars, according to Center for a New American Dream. We're doing our part! In order to cut down on this waste, we have registered with the Direct Marketing Association to have our mailing address removed from all future marketing...we receive TONS of unwanted mail. If you wish to register, please visit www.dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmailinglist.

-According to the Power Scorecard, replacing one incandescent light bulb with an energy efficient compact fluorescent (CFL) can save up to 260 pounds of carbon dioxide per year! We have switched all office light bulbs to CFL bulbs. This equals roughly 3120 pounds of carbon dioxide per year we are saving !!

-Our Texas residents will be happy to know we have secured a t-shirt manufacturer that uses 100% certified organic cotton home grown in the good ole' State of Texas!

-In order to reduce waste, the Moral Fabric catalog will be available to retailers ONLINE ONLY.
